Was he wearing #14?

That Dodgers ball boy/man got the Larry Doby treatment...I only heard his name mentioned one time in the past week! Jackie Robinson deserves lots of credit, sure, but Doby also entered the majors in 1947, and was the first African American to play in the American League. He was also the second African American to manage in the majors (to Frank Robinson).
Robinson was 28 when he made his debut in '47, Doby was a tender 23. Thankfully, Doby's number was retired by the Indians, but not until 1994: 37 years passed after his playing career!
The Indians have asked MLB to have a Larry Doby day later this year, I hope that it comes to fruition.
