What did I just see?

For those of you who have watched 'The Sopranos' since it premiered in 1999, tonight was going to be the big night. So, what did I just see?? A couple of menacing looking guys hanging out in the restaurant, the family together (just as they are at the end of every season), but, well, not quite, as Meadow gets ready to walk in the door, the scene ends abruptly, leaving us with.... I'd love to hear some thoughts on this. I had all kinds of guesses as to how this thing would end, instead, we're left hanging with NO ending. I guess I'm supposed to guess..... I guess....

And speaking of 'what did I just see?' I've asked myself that the last two weeks as the Gryphons appear to have pulled a second game in a row forcefully from the lost column on some last minute heroics. I mean, these games were lost. I actually checked in tonight to see how far behind I was, and lo and behold, I was ahead... but, I'll get to this week in a moment.

Last weeks game was literally won in the last innings of last Sunday nights Yanks/Sox game. With A-Rod (my guy) homering off Papelbon (his guy), I dramatically complete a huge comeback to pull out a win over the Lyndon Bats, this years bad luck team. They can't catch a break.

This week, A-Rod, Pujols, and three straight holds from Tony Pena appear to have lifted me to a last day victory over Fargo High Life. With only two games remaining, I have a slim lead, but it appears to be growing, with Michael Young having a big night, and Matt Wise in line for a win, while his Andruw Jones is 0-4. With a few extra reserve points coming in to play, it looks like I'm winning pulling away in a game I trailed by almost 100 points on Thursday.

Assuming this holds up, the Gryphons will move to 5-6, keeping alive those slim hopes for a playoff spot, and making a run a .500 much more achievable. With Rocket and El Duque both now in the starting rotation, and Pujols starting to hit, I'm starting to believe again.
